Stefaia Moldovan ( Sieu-Odorhei 1929 - Budapest 2012) Moldovan was born in Transylvania, Romania; His father was of Armenian descent. [2] In 1944, his family moved to Hungary. [2]Moldovan studied singing at the Academy of Music Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest from 1948 to 1953 as a student at Jeno Sipos. Her singing career began as a chorister. He made his debut as an opera singer in 1954 at the Opera Theater of Szeged in the role of Mimi in La Bohème. [1] From 1954 to 1961 he was a permanent member of the ensemble of the Opera Theater of Szeged. In 1961 she was hired by the Opera National in Budapest, which remained a permanent member of the ensemble for over 25 years until his retirement.Moldovan will mainly sang the dramatic fach young soprano; the focal points of his repertoire were the female roles in the works of Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini. Moldovan has also sung in Hungarian, German repertoire of opera roles: Leonore in Fidelio, Agathe in Der Freischütz and Senta in Der Fliegende Holländer.
