Italo Tajo (Pinerolo 1915 – Cincinnati 1993) He studied violin and singing in Turin with Nilde stichs-Bertozzi and in 1935 he made his debut in the same city as Fafner in The Rhine Gold. In 1939 he participated in the Italian first Wozzeck at the Opera Theater of Rome, in 1940 he made his debut at La Scala (where It appears regularly until 1956) and in 1942 in Florence as Leporello.After the war ended his career developed rapidly at the international level, with debuts in London, Paris, Buenos Aires. He participated in the First Italian War and Peace by Prokofiev in 1953 in Florence.
