Giuseppe Borgatti (Cento 1871 – Reno di Leggiuno 1950) It was born in Cento March 17, 1871. With the help of the Marquis Plattis, father of writer Maria Majocchi aka Yolanda, (1864-1917), studied at the Liceo Musicale in Bologna and made his debut in Faust in Castelfranco Veneto in 1892. In 1894 he played Manon Lescaut in Venice, Lohengrin at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milan and sang in the premiere at the Teatro Regio in Turin I love teasing Gaetano Luporini. In 1896 he was the first star of Andrea Chénier at the Teatro alla Scala, obtaining a triumph, after which he performed with Lohengrin and La Gioconda at the Teatro Real in Madrid in 1895 and in St. Petersburg in 1895-1896. He succeeded in Cairo in 1897 playing Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Bizet's Carmen and Proserpina by Camille Saint-Saëns, conducted by the author. In Buenos Aires in 1898 interpreted neel'opera Arrigo Boito's Mefistofele. In 1899 he sang in the premiere in the Teatro Argentina in Rome's Trill Stanislao Falchi devil. In 1905 he sang in the recovery in the Teatro Regio (Torino) of Sigfrido directed by Toscanini.
