Edoardo Garbin (Padova 1865 – Brescia 1943) Particularly known for having created the character of Fenton in Falstaff by Giuseppe Verdi (9 February 1893). He studied in his hometown and debuted in the theater in Vicenza (Don Alvaro in La forza del Giuseppe Verdi's fate, September 1891). On October 6, 1892 played the role of Don Fernan in the premiere of Christopher Columbus by Alberto Franchetti at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. It was the husband of the soprano Adelina Stehle, who sang with him as Nannetta, the premiere of Verdi's Falstaff in 1893, and with which contributed greatly to the spread of Bohème.
