Franco Bordoni (Bologna 1932 - Casalecchio di Reno 2020) He enrolled at the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna, which he left after two years and continued his studies as a self-taught musician, listening to and assimilating vocal technique on records by Beniamino Gigli and Carlo Tagliabue. He made his debut in 1953 at the Teatro Nuovo in Imola in Giacomo Puccini's La bohème in the role of Schaunard. On 23rd December 1967, for the first performance, Bordoni was called to play the role of Rigoletto in place of the sick protagonist and began his career as a performer, especially in Verdi.
