Mary Jane Johnson (Pampa 1950) He studied at West Tex. A. & M. University. In 1981 he made his operatic debut in New York singing Agathe Weber. In 1982 he made his first appearance at the Santa Fe Opera as Rosalinde, and later sang there with great success in subsequent seasons. In 1983 she appeared as Freia in Das Rheingold at the San Francisco Opera. He made regular appearances at the Washington (DC) Opera since 1984 and the Cincinnati Opera since 1986.
