Wenceslaus Hollar (Bohemian, 1607-1677) and Pierre Lombart (French, 1612-1682), after Francis Cleyn (German, 1582-1658) Scenes from Virgil's 'Georgics' sixteen engravings, two later coloured, dedicated to Thomas Vernon of Hanbury, to Sir William Bowyer Denhamcourt, to John Pulteney of the Parish of St James's, Westminster, and others each sheet approximately 31 x 21cm, mounted in eight frames (8) Condition report: All showing signs of age. Approximately four have discoloured to a light brown. The rest have some light stains in places, mostly at edges of the paper. The majority are lightly cockled and some with scattered creases. One with a hard horizontal crease across the centre, and two more with partial creases across the centre. Approximatley three have a few large spots of brown foxing. One or two with light surface abrasions. None seen outside of frames.
