John Wainwright (fl.1860-1869) Study of field mushrooms in a woodland clearing oil on canvas 22.5 x 30.5cm Condition report: Oil on canvas which has been lined. The canvas tension is very stiff. In localised areas the paint layer is raised with flaking and paint losses. Old areas of retouching are applied in thick paint and mainly located on the central mushroom and the edges of the painting. The varnish is dull, yellowed and semi-matte.
