A Victorian cast silver figural table casket by William Nichols, London 1852, with two cavalrymen in a sword fight, the lift-off cover revealing two gilded compartments, the rectangular base with rounded ends cast with regimental badge, martial trophies, horse of Hannover, a French imperial eagle and battle honours, on four paw feet, 18cm (7in) high, 17.5cm (6 7/8in) wide, 1309g (42.1 OZ) Possibly a table piece presented to the 1st Regiment of Life Guards.
