此款明代青花军持，胎坯致密坚实，通体施釉，釉色光亮莹润，诚为佳品。军持始出于印度，梵文音为“裙雅趣”，意为净瓶或净罐，原是印度游方和尚使用的一种水器。在中国，其早期形制特征可追溯到唐代，其特征为：直口，长颈，鼓腹，下颈部瘦长，平底。颈腹相间处饰上翘的管状流。
