Tang Dynasty Sancai Glazed Tri-Colored Porcelain Horse Circa 907 AD - This piece is a Sancai glazed porcelain horse statuette, made during the Tang Dynasty of China. The piece was discovered in Xiam Province, China, and is believed to be circa 907 AD. The powerful horse rests on a rectangular plinth gazing straignt with mouth open. The piece shows wonderful attention to detail, with flared nostrils, expressive eyes and pricked ears. The horse is in excellent condition for its age. The piece measures 18"H x 6.5"W x 18.5"L. Please note: there is miinor restoration on the plinth block only. Similar, less detailed horses of this type have sold at other auctions for over $30,000.
