香筒适于燃点线香，是古代文人雅士的书斋爱物。此对香筒以上等白玉为材，底座和盖为红木制。以镂雕、高浮雕与平刻技法相结合，在筒壁上展现出一幅高士山中行吟的清幽画面。但见山石巍峨，巨松虬曲伸展，松林间茅舍掩映，飞瀑直下。高士们意态悠闲，相与论道，身后童子或手捧书卷，或肩扛刚采摘的奇花异果，一派自然气息。线香燃起时，缕缕白烟自山石与松枝间飘逸而出，宛如云岚翻卷，令人心怡。此对香筒料佳工精，保存良好，实为案头清赏熏香之良伴。
