此件虎符精铜铸造，采用错金银技法装饰。虎首圆厚，两目斜吊，下圆上尖。两耳起线勾勒，舒展内卷。前吻突出，微微张口。身躯伏地，四肢踡缩前趴，短尾勾翘。以细密的金丝银线交错镶嵌，除勾勒眼瞳，鼻、爪等细节外，满云雷纹布身，于暗沉铜绿中绚丽多彩。虎符为古代帝王授予臣属兵权和调发军队的信物。铜质、虎形、分左右两半，有子母口相合。右符留存中央，左符在将领之手。帝王派人前往调动军队，需带上右符，持符验合，军将方能听命而动。虎符盛行于战国和秦汉时期，后世虎符多为仿古玩器，无实际功能。本件为明代仿古之作，铜质精纯，甚为压手。外形别致，讨喜可爱。
