金刚萨埵意为『金刚心』或『雷电心』，是本初佛金刚总持的内在形式，然而常以佩戴头冠并且装饰华丽的菩萨形象出现在艺术作品中，其心性坚硬如金刚，故名金刚萨埵。此尊金刚萨锤为菩萨装造型，高发髻，带五叶冠，开脸为典型的康熙宫廷造像样式，耳铛和身上璎珞雕刻概括且分明，底部莲瓣座莲纹样式圆而扁平，整体制作手法简洁大气。
