该壶采用优质和田玉白玉籽料雕刻而成，玉质油润光洁，手感细腻舒适。做工精细，线条简洁流畅，且形制小巧，寓意吉祥。像此类带盖的玉雕器皿，在器盖外型做完，子口确定以后，就要进入掏膛工序。一般的做法是待器身、器盖的外型确定之后，才开始打钻掏膛，并逐渐掏空，要求是膛壁厚薄均匀，不宜太厚，厚了显得笨重，厚薄要恰到好处，足以见得此工序之复杂与不易。整体素面玉质油润白皙，收藏价值极高难得一件的精品。重370克。
