十八/十九世紀 銅佛像/nA Chinese bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara dating from the 18th or 19th century. The bodhisattva has eleven heads arranged in three rows of three topped by the wrathful head of Mahakala and the peaceful head of Amitabha Buddha. He has eight arms, the front two of which are placed palms together in front of his heart. The other six arms are arranged around him in various positions. Avalokiteshvara stands on a single lotus pedestal wearing a thick lower garment decked with jewelry. A deer skin hangs over his left shoulder. The bottom of the statue has a vajra cross. Dimensions are: 11 inches tall X 6 inches wide, 27.9 cm X 15.2 cm. Weight: 1600 grams. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here.
