十九世纪 木漆金坐像/nA Chinese lacquered and gilt wood statue of a civil officer dating from the 19th century. The officer holds a ruyi wand in his right hand and wears a simple robe. There is a panel on his back beneath the lacquer. Dimensions are: 12 1/2 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 31.8 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate. High resolution images can be found here. Condition: There is a large split to the front with a repair on the bottom. One finger is missing as well as the majority of the ruyi wand. There is a chip to the bottom of the robe, damage to his hairpiece, and loss to his facial hair. The back of his robe has a patch repair. Gilt and lacquer wear throughout.
