An Edwardian silver commemorative figure of 'The Kemp Leopard', modelled standing with head slightly turned to the left, the body with textured decoration and spots, wearing a collar inscribed 'Coronation 1902', London 1902 by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd, limited edition number '125', engraved to underside of left front paw, weight 284.7g, length 17.7cm. Note: these limited edition silver leopards were commissioned by the Skinners' Company to commemorate the Coronation of Edward VII. The guild's crest is a spotted leopard, referred to as 'The Kemp Leopard' after Roger Kemp, who was Master of the Guild in 1680. Buyer’s Premium 29.4% (including VAT @ 20%) of the hammer price.
