A walnut and olivewood oyster veneered chest of drawers, mid 18th century, possibly a Huguenot maker, 95cm high, 111cm wide, 54cm deep Provenance: The Collection of Countess Veronica Munster Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use Some old splits and cracks, some chips and losses and some replacements The handles are not original - there are plugged holes to the rear of the drawer front and a small filled hole to the fronts The drawers are an unusual configuration, there is a long drawer above two short drawers, a further long drawer above two further short drawers and a long drawer again. The drawers are recessed into the carcass.
