Finest porcelain potted in reward shape vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, with thick wide flaring mouth rim, raised on a short small round foot base with slight concave. All reserved carved ornamentations are rendered in famille jaune under glazed color. The Exterior carved with Daoist figures relax on the ground, beside the rocky foot pat, below pine tree with dense foliage, flowers blooms, all in salubrious landscape. Famille Jaune meaning the yellow family. This is a variant of the famille verte enamel palette in which the ground is covered with yellow enamel. Yellow in Chinese it is called Huang You. The technique of producing it only became matured in the Hongzhi Period of the Ming. There are also high and low temperature glazes. The yellow comes from the ferric oxide in the reducing atmosphere.
