Measurements: 6" H x 10-1/2" W Stand: 1-1/2" H A Chinese Cloisonne Tripod Censer, in traditional Yu form, of deep bowl vessel, with straight steep sides elevated from broad flat cavetto, leading toward the gilt banded rim, raised on three cabriole squat legs emerged from elephant masks. Square looped gilt bronze handle flanked on the side under the rim. The body decorated with vivid color enamel filled the gilt bronze cloisonne works of chrysanthemum blooms and scrolling twigs against pale-turquoise blue enamel ground. Elegantly presented upon a carved hardwood tripod stand. Mark on base, incised six script -KaiShu- characters, Made In The Years of Jingtai Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
