Chelsea Porcelain Scale-Pattern Two-Handled Chocolate Cup and Cover Circa 1755-65, gold anchor mark Of beaker form flanked by gilt enriched vine handles, the domed cover with a gilt enriched scroll finial, painted front and back with a bird perched on a berried branch, above overlapping puce feathers forming a scale ground. Height 5 1/2 inches; Together with a Chelsea Porcelain Chocolate Cup and Saucer, circa 1760, gold anchor mark, the cup with auricular handles, decorated in puce with exotic birds, within gilt stiff-leaf borders.
