A set of matching lacquerware boxes with eight gently scalloped nodes and painted `ropes` of flowers and vines divided into sections by red bands. A larger red `pinwheel` style flower is painted in the center of each. H: 3 7/8" (10cm) D: 9 7/8" (24.8cm). Condition: in overall good condition, several small chips and flakes of lacquer have come off the body of both boxes.
