|材质为端溪水岩坑随形端砚，砚首雕云龙纹，有石眼点缀其间，中间随石形开砚池。原装紫檀砚匣，题识：“康熙己亥之秋曾见宋人残研因喜其文即仿之 黄任莘田。”红木砚座及箱阴刻：“己亥之秋 莘田 任印富冈铁斋旧藏。”|原装紫檀砚匣，原配红木砚座及箱，富冈铁哉收藏题签|黄任（1683-1768），字于莘，又字莘田，福建永福人，康熙四十一年举人，雍正时曾任广东四会知县兼高要县事。喜诗酒，爱藏砚，端溪又恰好在高要县辖区内。故离任时只余两千金，一千金买了十方砚石，一千金买了个侍女金樱，雇船返乡。船头高挂一帜，上书：“饮酒赋诗，不理民事，奉旨革职。”后携砚石不远千里造访吴门顾二娘，得顾二娘为其手琢端砚数品。故此翁以玩砚名世。
