|棋奁壶乃是曼生十八式中的经典作品之一，壶形的设计是从围棋罐改进而来。此壶紫泥为胎，壶形秀雅，高圆形身筒，平肩，上置鼓盖。一弯短直流峭拔挺势。壶肩铭刻“饮之永年、曼生”。作者巧将生活的题材运设呈器，凸显文人情怀。壶盖内刻有“阑泽”二字，极有可能为当年曼生定制赠与之器，意义丰富。此器将诗文与书法完美结合，形成了一件卓群的茗壶。
