A 19th Century Victorian tortoiseshell, mother of pearl, abalone shell and ivory calling card case having tortoiseshell panels inset with abalone botanical decoration and border and mother of pearl panel edges. The hinged lid featuring an unengraved silver cartouche to top and opens to reveal a fully appointed interior with red baize lining and ivory borders. Push button clasp to side. In working order. In good condition with some minor marks, small loss or repairs in places. Measures approx; 10.5cm x 8cm.
