A 19th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain Double Happiness ginger jar and cover / lidded temple jar. Hand painted with botanical detailing and large Double Happy character mark symbols. Complete with original cover and set on a carved hardwood stand (associated). Damage and repair to lid. Hairline to rim but no visible signs of major damage to jar. Measures approx; 21cm tall. Double Happiness sometimes translated as Double Happy, is a Chinese traditional ornament design, commonly used as a decoration symbol of marriage.
