A 19th Century Jennens & Bettridge papier mache travel writing box / stationery carrier having painted and gilt decoration with mother of pearl inlay to the lid. Each hinged lid opens to reveal a fitted interior with glass inkwells and pen slides and a central protruding brass carrying handle. Wear commensurate with age mostly to the paint and gilt work, overall good. Measures approx; 15cm x 25cm x 18cm.
