|钟在中国历史中自古以来便是一种重要礼器，早在商周时期便有青铜铸造的钟，与三尊九鼎并列为国之礼仪，朝之重器。钟的用途可分为鸣音和奏乐之用。至明代以后除了青铜之外，古人还用紫铜和其它材质制作鸣钟。此拍品便是明代制作的一种呼唤鸣钟。铜胎拱身龙形为纽，钟身部掐丝填珐琅，仿青铜器图案。
