此件方几呈正方形，底座可以抽出，通体满工施满黑漆，山石以散点螺钿镶嵌法制作而成，人物，楼阁，云松，构图严谨，布局讲究，四脚为曲面弯脚，平底座上有一个圆形开窗，以螺钿镶嵌出荷塘鹭鸶纹饰与桌面遥相呼应。参阅2009年出版，关善明著，《中国螺钿》。
