A section of sword belt hanger with symmetrical waisted and scalloped plate bearing three rivet holes and raised foliate motifs, two integral suspension loops below, with a decorative waisted and scalloped plate with thee rivet holes and raised foliate motifs suspended from each, with two rivets in both hanging plates in situ; remains of tin coating. 46.2 grams, 70mm (2 3/4"). Property of a Kent gentleman; found Brookland, Kent, UK, 2017; recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference number PAS KENT-434311; accompanied by a copy of the PAS report. The PAS record dates this piece to 'c.AD 1500-1600', proceeding to explain that 'this example being complete is unusual.'
