12th-13th century AD. A convex tongue-shaped casket mount with parcel-gilt male head modelled in the round; the plaque forming the body with robes expressed as panels of red, blue and green champ levé enamel detailing; one remaining blue enamel pellet to the right eye; pierced twice for attachment.
