A carved marble head of a lady with elongated features, hair drawn back from the face in a braided band, narrow facial features and recessed eyes to accept inset glass(?) panels; mounted on a custom-made stand. 1.2 kg total, 24cm including stand (9 1/2"). From an important London collection; acquired on the London art market in 1989. [No Reserve]
