Born in 1910 in Lorraine, France, Edith Gerin became one of France's most beloved photographers, although she was well traveled. She visited Egypt, Greece, Israel, Morocco, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Algeria, among other countries. Gerin is listed in the book by Rosenblum and Kelley, "A History of Women Photographers" and the Auer & Auer and George Eastman House databases.
