A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CANDLE STAND CIRCA 1765 The dished circular top incorporating a pierced gallery 59cm high, the top 39cm diameter Condition Report: Overall there are marks, scratches, rubbing, knocks and abrasions consistent with age and use. The pierced fretwork 'basket' edge repaired, in some places incorporating later timber, with some staining, some splits and cracks visible. The turned section connecting the top and the base with repaired splits and later screws. The column split and repaired in a diagonal across the beaded band. Two legs have been detached and re-fixed, one more visibly with a crack than the other, and this one with an extended metal underbrace.
