宋代斗茶盛行，茶盏在吸取唐代茶盏优点的基础上，进而出现了一种敞口，斜腹壁呈45度角，小圈足的容器，形似倒置的斗笠，因此这种茶盏被称之为斗笠盏（碗）或斗笠盌。宋代“斗茶时所用的茶盏，除了南方烧造的厚胎黑釉 “建盏”，北方各大名窑如钧、汝、定等均有烧制，北方瓷窑烧造的薄胎茶盏在设计上极具极简主义风格，把优雅简单的造型发挥到了极致。
