Huang Gongwang (1269-1354?), painter of Yuan Dynasty. Claiming to be a native of Pingyang, East Zhejiang. Tao Zongyi's "Lot of Suoting Geng" called him "the original surname Lu", and he was the righteous son after the Huang family in Pingyang, Wenzhou. Huang Gongwang used to be an official of the Central Taiwan Procuratorate, and was imprisoned for a time. Later, he entered the Quanzhen Sect and sold divinations to and from Hangzhou and Songjiang. Gong calligraphy, Tongyin rhythm, good poetry and Sanqu. Especially good at painting landscapes, he was taught by Zhao Mengfu, patriarchal Dong Yuan, Ju Ran, Jing Hao, Guan Tong, Li Cheng, etc. Ink and light and silk are all painted, and the paintings are made with the strange characters. The style is magnificent, the pen is simple and perfect, and it is a self-contained family. Ranked first among the "Four Families of the Yuan Dynasty" (Huang Gongwang, Wu Zhen, Ni Zan, Wang Meng).
