Catalogue Note: This is a particularly fine example of a Ship's Piano with a folding keyboard. These small instruments were specially designed to fit on the confined spaces aboard a ship. One was even taken by Scott aboard the Discovery for his Antarctic expedition. This piano was purchased by WWI Flying Ace Captain Norman Macmillan for his wife, the music hall singer, Ena Beaumont.
