A collection of illustrations, catalogues and publications relating to the artist and illustrator Frank Patterson (British, 1871-1952), to include five large bound volumes of printed illustrations numbered from 501-1748, standalone illustrations including one original pen, ink and coloured pencil entitled 'A Westerham Hill-Climb', a number of books related to Patterson including copies of 'The Patterson Book' and 'The Second Patterson Book' and some ephemera relating to the Frank Patterson Appreciation Society, (qty) Condition: The volumes are in variable condition with some having loose covers and broken spines, pages are stained and dirty, illustrations are foxed and dirty/ From the collection of cycling journalist David Taylor (1937-2020) Possibly acquired from Cycling Weekly. Frank Patterson (1871-1952) was a prolific popular illustrator during the first half of the 20th century, known primarily for his depiction of idyllic scenes of rural Britain featuring the bicycle as a central motif. His work appeared regularly in Cycling Weekly, but his output was vast and covered a huge range of outlets.
