A group of documents bearing the signatures of Joseph Addison (1672-1719), politician and playwright, George Anson, 1st Baron Anson (1697-1762), Naval office, and Thomas Bewick (1753-1828), Engraver, the first pen and ink on vellum, dated 1709, with paper seal, the second pen and ink on vellum, an original Naval Commission dated 1752, the third a receipt for purchasing 'Esop's Fables', signed by Bewick and his son Robert Elliot Bewick (1788-1849) and includes a thumb print from Thomas Bewick, (3) the first measures height 35cm, width 37.2cm Condition: the first two are in a folded state, stains and wear to the edges and surface of all three
