LIDDED POT W.11.5cm H.16cm Description: This is a lidded pot with dragon pattern in contrasting color, made during Chenghua reign of the Ming Dynasty. It has an open mouth ,short neck, round shoulder, bulging abdomen, and shallow circular feet. The lid is painted with a blue and white dragon in contrasting color, and the sides are decorated with green-colored clouds for a circle.The dragon is the main motif, with two legs and three claws, two wings upturned,flying in the green clouds. The shoulders and shins are each filled with iron-red lotus petals for a circle.The scene is highly decorative in color.
