ENAMEL VASE W.15cm H.32cm Description: This vase has a round mouth, a short neck, a rich shoulder and a wide belly, and a shallow ring foot under it. The upper edge is decorated with Ruyi cloud pattern, and the foot wall is decorated with blue fretwork, the neck and near the foot are decorated with purplish red interlocking flower patterns, and the left and right sides of the neck are decorated with ears. The abdomen is painted with famile rose landscape and figures in exquisite ornate colors, with the charm of mid-Qing palace landscape painting, with pines and rocks, and the mysterious realm of immortal mountains with shimmering sea waves, with several old men with smiling faces, with children standing by the side, and an immortal holding a chip in one hand on the other side, with a crane holding another chip in its mouth in the distance, flying into the immortal house in the sea, with clouds floating around. The seal script with six words and three lines of "during Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty" was written on the bottom. It tells the story of three immortals on Penglai Immortal Island comparing of longevity,which was originally published in Su Shi's "Dong Bo Zhi Lin - Three Old Men's Words": "There were three old men who met each other, and when they asked about their ages,one old man said, "My age cannot be counted, but I remember that I had an old relationship with Pan Gu when I was young. In other words, the sea water turns into a mulberry field. Another old man said, I eat the peach and abandoned its core in the Kunlun Mountain, and is now on the same level as Kunlun mountain." This allusion implies boundless longevity.
