COPPER BODIED ENAMEL PALACE LANTERN W.13.2cm H.34cm Description: The lamp stand is composed of three parts: the umbrella, the stile and the base. The production process is done in parts and then combined into one. The umbrella is spherical in shape, with an open top and hollowed out interior, and the umbrella is separated by two gilt bowstring patterns. The abdomen is decorated with character story design , while the lower abdomen is decorated with interlocking floral motif. A flat drum-shaped protrusion is made where the stile meets the base. The base is bowl-shaped, with a ring foot, and is decorated with patterns of flowers ,lotus petals and so on . The gilding on the base is beautiful and lustrous. This is a rare piece of filigree enameling, with its dignified form, bright and exquisite gilding, complex technique, and exquisite pattern and glaze.
