BRONZE GUI VESSEL W.26cm H.20cm Description: This is a bronze Gui vessel ,which is the imitation of Ding ware in Liao Dynasty. It has a unique shape, a lid, a round abdomen and a bulging neck with pattern of animal face in one circle The lines are fine and smooth, and the round eyes are convex outside. There are bowstring patterns on the abdomen,forming wave dents. Both sides are casted with animal-head-shaped half-ringed ears in an exaggerated shape. The lower part of the ring foot extends out, , and the hook-shaped pearl serves as a fulcrum to hold up the whole vessel, which is both solid and delicate. The overall shape is simple and generous, and the polishing is neat, showing the peculiarity of a large vessel, and it is made of fine copper with a thick texture and unique charm.
