Ross MacFadden, Toronto Note: Prominent Toronto businessman and avid art collector, Mr. Ross MacFadden, was delighted to purchase this pair of Edward Masters oils in matching frames at Waddington’s in 2004. Masters lived in old Woking and painted thatched, Surrey-style country houses and landscapes filled with figures, horses and farm animals that echoed the style of the early Dutch masters. Edward Masters flourished between 1860 and 1880 and exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists in 1869. Estimate: $1,500—2,500
