选材为和田白玉，玉质缜密细腻温润，雕琢平安牌，牌型裁切规整，四隅浅浮雕仿古夔龙纹饰，左右对称，上首龙身勾连，龙首相背；龙宽鼻阔口，椭圆型目圆耳，造型古慕，中间龙首弧形阔口，水滴状目，长角后扬十分神秘，下首两龙，龙首相抵，圆目立耳如意状鼻。中间牌面呈长方形倭角，光洁平整。无事牌自古以来算得上是玉牌配饰的一种，最早可以追溯到明朝时期。表面平整无雕刻的牌子，即“无事（饰）牌”。在中国人眼里，“平”有平安的意思，因此无事牌有一个“平安无事”美好的寓意。
