此缸形制硕大，造型古朴端庄，腹部绘饰青花云龙戏珠纹，空白处分布火焰及云纹，近足处饰青花海水纹，其下弦纹一周。器型敦硕，胎体厚重。龙纹矫健威武，宝珠火焰飞动，海水波涛飞卷，线条勾勒均匀，形象刻画具体，纤毫不紊，宫廷气息浓郁。道光官窑瓷器在造型、品种和款式上，继承乾隆官窑的表现手法，纹饰则逐渐摒弃了乾隆官窑繁缛华丽的装饰风格，构图趋于疏朗，而格调却别具风韵，工整细致的工艺特点为其时官窑作品之重要符号。从此器即可看出，胎体厚实，釉面匀净，造型饱满古朴，构图疏朗匀称，沉稳雄浑而不失雅致之格调。其纹饰清晰流畅，气势磅礴，浑厚凝重，比例协调，青花呈色稳定。可见帝王御用之器，必精益求精，为当世之宝器。观其釉色之润泽，工艺之精湛，为道光官窑精工之作。
