释文：启者盐快缘事，裁撤逾年。今夏盐务改作认商，重设公堂，似乎缉私一节可以仍遵旧例。乃有素识之黄锦，人颇勤能，情愿授充此缺，牌票业经收执。昨到江城候老公祖大人点卯……贺又启。再承示釐定斗则清觧上忙现在征收下忙开倉收漕……手此再颂升安。弟又启。
作者简介：蒯贺荪（1806-1875），字则钦，号士芗，蒯关宝之子，浙江杭州人。道光二十四年恩科顺天举人，由宝禄馆誊录议叙知县，分发河南，补永宁知县。历任固始祥符中丞，英桂荐擢直隶州，授光州知州。曾入林则徐幕府。历任河南布政司、浙江按察使。
