Isaac H. Bonsall (American, 1833-1909) Soldiers at Lulah Lake, Lookout Mountain, Georgia, 1863 Albumen print 12-7/8 x 10-1/4 inches (32.7 x 26.0 cm) (image) Initially an apprentice to the great Matthew Brady, Bonsall served in the Army of the Cumberland as a photographer from September 1862. This image was taken during the Union Army's six-month siege of Chattanooga. Following the Civil War, Bonsall ran a photography studio in Cincinnati, later relocating to Arkansas City, Kansas in 1872.
