Unknown Artist (19th Century) Portrait of Eugene Favier with Palette and Frame, 1897 Gelatin silver chloride print 6-1/4 x 4-1/4 inches (15.9 x 10.8 cm) (image) Inscribed, dated, and numbered 3428 in pencil, verso. Favier was born in 1860 and was a painter and printmaker with a focus on landscapes, nudes, and portraits. The present image appears to have been taken in his studio, and is possibly a self-portrait.
